10 REASONS WHY YOUR COMPUTER IS RUNNIG SLOW

Does your computer seem to be slower than normal? Has your PC crashed recently? Have you had the misfortune of experiencing the BSOD (blue screen of death) or a similar error? There are a plethora of things that can cause your computer to crash or perform at an unreasonably slow level. You might have too many programs loading at startup. The general rule is this: If you don't need it and it isn't vital to your computer, delete it. By following this rule, you will enable your computer to boot up faster and perform better.Another thing that can cause your computer to run slower is a corrupted or bloated registry. If you have a Windows computer, then you have a registry. The registry, like a meticulous bookkeeper, stores a record of everything you do on your computer. It keeps tabs on what programs you use on your computer, what websites you look at, what you download from the Internet. It stores all of this info on your computer’s hard drive and is notorious for producing corrupted or fragmented files.

Here are 10 reasons why computer runs slow:

Startup Overload

The more programs you have that are loading at start-up, the slower the startup. Remove programs you do not want or are not necessary to be started at boot up.

clean up pc:
  • ‍step 1: update windows
  • step 2 : detect and repair disk error
  • step 3: disk cleanup
  • step 4: delete all temp files on your pc

Spyware:

These are malicious programs tat stealthily embed themselves into your software. they are installed in your software without your knowledge, especially through email. these must be removed from your computer before they cause damage to your operating system and applications.

Corrupt Registry:

If your registry is corrupted or bloated, there, could be a BSOD in your PC in the nearest future.

Corrupt registry can cause:
  • ‍performance problems
  • slow windows startup
  • extremely slow shutdown
  • general disruption of system processing

Badly Fragmented Hard Drive:

Over time, your compute files can be scattered over your hard drive; this is called fragmentation and causes file searches to be slower than usual. Disk Defragmenter reduces data access time and allows storage to be used more efficiently.

Poor Security Softwares:

A lot of security programs are bloated with software and demand a great deal of system resources and memory. The constant surveillance of your system for malicious programs can cause your computer to get sluggish.

Viruses:

A bi-directional firewall and a good and reliable up to date antivirus program should protect you

Too many windows temporary files:

Your hard drive could be crammed up with many useless files left over from re-installs and just general use

Common hardware Problems:

If your hard drive i s not working properly; ensure that all cables are properly attached, try a system restore.Undoing disk drive failures; use system disk to restore system, reboot you system with a backup disk.

Overheating:

If heats gets high enough, devices may fail to function or suffer permanent damage. many computers are designs to automatically shutdown at certain temperature and prevent the CPU from suffering permanent damage.
